SUMMARY:The Cinelli Brothers
DESCRIPTION:This project stems from a shared passion for the electric blues of Chicago and Texas from the 1960s and 70s. It began when brothers Marco (guitarist and lead singer) and Alessandro (drummer) decided to form an explosive outfit\, showcasing an original repertoire in the style of Chess\, Stax\, and Motown. \n \nJoining the brothers on stage are Tom Julian-Jones on harmonica\, guitar\, and vocals\, and Stephen Giry on bass\, guitar\, and vocals. \n \nTheir debut album\, *Babe Please Set Your Alarm*\, was recorded at Soup Studio in London (2018). \n \nThe record reached number 2 on the IBBA (Independent Blues Broadcasters’ Association) chart in June 2018. The album features 9 original compositions and 3 covers\, including Don Covay’s “Chain of Fools” (a hit for Aretha) and “Back Door Man”—the latter staying true to the original’s shuffle rhythm. \n \nOn November 30\, 2021\, the band released their second album\, *Villa Jukejoint*. \n \nRecorded at home using only a single microphone\, the record possesses a unique vintage\, retro feel characteristic of the 1950s and early 1960s. \n \nThe Cinelli brothers represent a new generation of passionate musicians who share a love for the blues\, soul\, R&B\, and the authentic sounds that have made the blues a cornerstone of music history.
