SUMMARY:Drop Collective
DESCRIPTION:Drop Collective is a project of 10 musicians that started in 2016 in Barcelona. The great jazz scene of the city led them to coincide during their higher studies\, and to discover common interests in the search for sounds that incorporated elements of traditional Jazz and Jamaican rhythms. Since then\, they have continued to explore new sounds\, using a wind section with a jazzy approach and a solid rhythm section\, incorporating stylistic resources and effects from Reggae and Dub music. To all these elements is added the voice\, which interprets melodies and lyrics that speak of love\, freedom and respect. \nThe versatility of Jazz and the groove of Jamaican rhythms are the combination that characterizes their music\, complementing the listening with a powerful live performance focused on enjoyment and dancing. \n– – – – – – – – – – \n \nRudymentari is the stage name of Guillem Llorens\, a Menorcan artist and one of the leading names in the Reggae scene in the Balearic and Catalan territories. In just a couple of years\, Rudymentari has attracted the attention of national venues and festivals with this musical project born in the Balearic Islands. His performances at Acampada Jove and Nowa Reggae stand out\, as well as several performances that have taken him throughout the Catalan Countries\, Madrid and Northern Catalonia over the last two years.

SUMMARY:Koko-Jean & The Tonics
DESCRIPTION:The vibrant Barcelona-based soul and rhythm and blues band\, Koko-Jean & The Tonics\, returns with their new single ‘Love Child’\, a teaser that gives the title to their long-awaited second album that will be released in the fall. With ‘Love Child’\, Miss Koko-Jean Davis (vocals)\, Dani Baraldés (guitar)\, Víctor Puertas (Hammond) and Marc Benaiges (drums) offer us a summer hit that captures the nostalgic essence of the Motown sound of the 60s\, evoking the warmth of a summer in Brooklyn\, where young people fall in love to the rhythm of the Temptations. \nAfter their acclaimed debut album with the EP Hairwhip in February 2020\, produced by Dani Nel·lo\, and the EP Please Mr. Milton in October of the same year\, where they had the participation of the saxophonist as a guest\, the band has continued to leave their mark on the music scene with their fresh and energetic sound. \nIn October 2021\, they released their first album\, Shaken & Stirred\, and since then they have been touring tirelessly throughout the Peninsula\, France\, Portugal and Italy\, and have participated in prominent cycles such as Artistes En Ruta and Girando Por Salas. In addition\, in 2022 they released the 7” Sick & Tired with two unreleased songs and in 2023 they appeared as guests on the popular TV3 program ‘Eufòria’. \n– – – – – – – – – – \n \nThe tenor saxophone was one of the cornerstones on which rhythm and blues was built. Its sound was the first voice of sonic insurrection against the established musical system\, breaking racial and social barriers. Although the saxophone had already played a prominent role in both the big band era and Be Bop\, it was at the end of the 1940s that it emerged as a synonym for rebellion\, giving way to Rock and roll. \n‘Los Saxofonistas Salvajes’ amplifies the voice of the musicians who initiated and continued this visceral and wild language. With this formation\, Dani Nel·lo collects the testimony of this musical tradition with the desire to prevent the light with which those saxophonists once shone as authentic stars from being extinguished.

SUMMARY:Hip Hop al Parc 2025
DESCRIPTION:  \nAcros is perhaps the one who has been leading the most controversial and social protest rap in the Catalan rap scene for some time now. Presenting his latest work and as his only date in Girona\, he brings under his arm BARNA ZOMBIE\, an album full of reality\, toughness and overcoming combined with other hits from his previous works\, and of course\, accompanied by another important figure in the Barcelona scene\, Dj Fat Chets. \n \nFrom Mexico to Catalonia\, Masta Quba brings to Hip Hop al Parc a torrent of rhythms\, combative lyrics and an energy that leaves no one indifferent. With over 17 years in the Hip Hop scene\, his music is a mix of protest\, healing and the fight for human rights\, intertwined with beats that will make you vibrate and reflect at the same time. \nAccompanied by P. Jaguar\, his participation in this festival is an invitation to live a unique experience\, where Hip Hop becomes a tool for change and resistance. \n \n97ONZAS is a Hip Hop collective formed by three emcees; Ray Fortes\, Xertis and D.Entrelitio\, accompanied by Wallter DJ on the cymbals and saxophonist Sergi Masana. Over rhythms ranging from the most classic boombap to current subgenres\, Ray Fortes’ explicit and unfiltered rhymes\, Xertis’ raw and pure rap\, and Dani Entrelitio’s nostalgia\, anger and metric are matched by Wallter DJ’s atmospheres to make the crowd vibrate and reflect.

SUMMARY:Marina BBFace & The Beatroots
DESCRIPTION:A Soul and Funk hurricane that will not leave you indifferent. \nThe critic said of his last concert: “God sent his son Jesus Christ to earth\, and he died. Then he sent his daughter Janis Joplin and died too. In the end\, God who is a woman\, came down directly to Earth\, and with some apostles they showed themselves to everyone as Marina BBface and her Beatroots. Marina is the one who will save us from musical tedium. Pure Soul\, pure soul in each of his songs. Faithfulness and eternal glory!”. \nAfter a long silence and with a partially renewed line-up\, they have returned stronger than ever with their new work\, “Journey” (Discmedi). With a very mature and careful sound\, recorded at Feelback Studio and produced by Marc Tena\, Journey is a journey through the singer’s personal path where song by song she captures a stage: motherhood\, separation\, new life\, overcoming… Funk\, soul\, rock …\, each song is a sound universe not to leave indifferent.

SUMMARY:Taller de Brass Band amb Hip Horns
DESCRIPTION:This brass band workshop\, taught by Àlvar Monfort and Albert Costa\, founders of Hip Horns Brass Collective\, aims to bring the New Orleans style closer to people of all ages. \nTo learn about the historical roots of this musical style\, we will talk about the context in which African slaves laid the foundations of jazz in Congo Square\, we will explain how the music they played there ended up transforming into what we know today as jazz and modern music\, and how traditions such as those of the second line of New Orleans were established. \nWe will work on key concepts when playing this musical style (articulations\, dynamics\, backgrounds\, improvisation…) through a repertoire made up of some of the most important songs in the modern brass band tradition\, as well as some of the most representative songs and arrangements of Hip Horns. It will be done with a “classic” modern brass band formation: trumpets\, trombones\, saxophones\, sousaphone\, bass drum and snare drum\, but the workshop is also open to other wind instruments such as flutes\, clarinets or euphoniums. \nTo close the session\, the songs worked on in the workshop will be performed outside La Marfà. \nBy: Àlvar Monfort and Albert Costa\, founders of Hip Horns Brass Collective. Collaborating with: La Moderna and La Marfà.

DESCRIPTION:The Nación Funk collective presents its furious soul band\, born from the interaction between musicians from the Catalan soul\, funk\, jazz and hip-hop scene. \nLalo López has gathered a musical family to reclaim the southern soul of labels such as Stax or Hi-fi and the raw sound of Willie Mitchell\, Syl Johnson or O.V. Wright\, when at the end of the 60s the genre began to receive the influence of funk. \nThe result is a fast-paced show full of exciting and dramatic moments\, which this time will feature the impressive voice and presence of Jonathan Herrero (A Contrablues\, Rambalaya). \nMore than a concert\, a declaration of love for an era and a way of understanding music.
