SUMMARY:NF Soul Station
DESCRIPTION:The Nación Funk collective presents its furious soul band\, born from the interaction between musicians from the Catalan soul\, funk\, jazz and hip-hop scene. \nLalo López has gathered a musical family to reclaim the southern soul of labels such as Stax or Hi-fi and the raw sound of Willie Mitchell\, Syl Johnson or O.V. Wright\, when at the end of the 60s the genre began to receive the influence of funk. \nThe result is a fast-paced show full of exciting and dramatic moments\, which this time will feature the impressive voice and presence of Jonathan Herrero (A Contrablues\, Rambalaya). \nMore than a concert\, a declaration of love for an era and a way of understanding music.

SUMMARY:The Otis Redding Show
DESCRIPTION:A little more than a tribute to the greatest soulman of all time. A vigorous review of his legacy in a soul show with a carefully chosen repertoire avoiding falling into nostalgia\, but with all the weight of the King of Soul’s legacy. Six musicians and three vocalists on stage\, in a show directed by Lalo López\, guitarist and composer of Fundació Tony Manero. \nWhen they have just completed 50 years without the brilliant African-American vocalist\, the Barcelona black scene pays tribute to Otis Redding in a show that revitalizes his classics. And it does so with an all-star integrated with the best musicians of the soul and funk scene of the moment. \nThe objective is none other than to emulate the strength and soul of Otis’ live performances\, taking as a reference to build the show the incredible live album Otis Redding In Person At The Whisky A Go Go. This is not a tribute band\, this is a show made with respect\, love and feeling. The Otis Redding Show is an hour and a half of non-stop soul that will lift your spirits and keep your feet moving. \nClap your hands and stomp your feet\, cause Otis Redding is on the scene!

SUMMARY:Annie & The Caldwells
DESCRIPTION:When he’s not touring the world with Staples Jr. Singers Annie Caldwell is on the road with her other band\, Annie & The Caldwells. \nAnnie’s family is an incredibly energetic group that plays together every weekend. It was when Annie married Willie Joe Caldwell (also tours with the Staples\, guitar) that she started a family and a band. His sons make up the rhythm section and his three daughters sing. This next generation has brought their own powerful influence to the band’s sound: it’s disco\, it’s R&B\, it’s soul. \nAnnie and her family’s new album was recorded at a small house of worship called The Message Center\, across the street from Annie and Joe’s home in West Point\, Mississippi\, in October 2023. The Caldwells use it as rehearsal space when not in use for services. Annie’s daughter\, Deborah Caldwell\, is a real thunder and a major presence in the band\, musically and personally.

SUMMARY:Hip Hop al Parc
DESCRIPTION:Macro and Suppa is a group from Girona that offers an urban music show. The trajectory of the two components of the group is characterized by the message in the lyrics\, the self-management of the respective projects and the freshness they bring to the musical scene. It represents the ease of emotional and musical connection with the listener regardless of gender\, age or nationality\, thanks to the impact they cause with their attitude on stage. \n \nEMÉ is an emerging artist originally from the Salt neighborhood. A local promise\, from this very fruitful quarry that we find on the banks of the Onyar river. His musical career is drawn through the genuineness of his lyrics\, loaded with personal stories\, life lessons and emotions\, narrated on the musical thread of classic sounds such as boom bap or the most current energy of Trap. After an artistic break in Seville\, the Girona artist has been more active than ever\, publishing more than a dozen songs in the last year. This year\, we will have her present at HIP HOP AL PARC 2024 presenting all the latest news from her repertoire. \n \nIf we talk about Poor Tràmit we don’t only talk about rap with designation of origin. We talk about lyrics loaded with double meanings\, we talk about finesse\, touch\, drumless and classic rap. But above all we are talking about good taste and love for the essence. This is how the artist from Premia lands in ‘Hip-Hop in the park’\, supported by Deps Music and Dj Enzo\, he will present us with the latest EP Marbre\, without neglecting the works that have led him to become one of the references of rap in Catalan\, the #guarap arrives in Girona. \n \nBorn in Barcelona in 1993\, Elane was interested in urban music from an early age. Influenced by the Hip Hop of the 90s and 00s\, she started composing her first songs at the age of 17 and went on stage for the first time in 2018. In her lyrics\, Elane reflects a clear social\, revolutionary and feminist theme. After several successful singles such as “Hiprofenia”\, “Axinita” or “Niente” packaged in 2020 in the digital EP ‘#Sondeesas’\, the artist celebrated this first digital release with the presentation of a 7-inch vinyl of ‘limited edition with the celebrated “Hiprofenia” on side A and the unreleased track “Otra copa” on B. So far Elane has collaborated with artists such as Santa Salut and Sofia Gabanna among others and has participated in compilations such as ” Rap de la Terra” together with artists such as Senyor Oca\, Homes Lúdriga or Lil Russia. In 2021 he will see the light of what must be his first full-length.

SUMMARY:Sergi Estella
DESCRIPTION:Sergi Estella is Rubí’s “one man band” who creates his own instruments with any object. This multi-instrumentalist musician plays the drums with his feet while scraping self-made instruments\, instruments as unique as an electric broom or a guitar made from beer cans. \nSergi Estella’s music is mainly influenced by styles such as blues\, folk and rock. With his atypical training and homemade instruments\, Sergi Estella’s sound achieves that rawness and authenticity that characterize him. \nQuite an opportunity to see a musician live with an energetic and genuine live show\, where his unique sound is combined with a satirical humor that is also evident in his staging. \n– – – – – – \n \nBigblack Rhino begins a new stage with the presentation of their third studio album where they opt for a staging very different from what we are used to. Taking advantage of the celebration of their 10-year career and after having set foot on stages and festivals throughout the State\, they take another step forward in a devastating and emotional live show\, offering all their potential and counting on some very special collaborations.

SUMMARY:Kamikaze Helmets
DESCRIPTION:Duet formed by two of the most renowned and sought-after musicians on the state rock\, blues and funk scene. They have played in bands like Aurora and The Betrayers\, Lisa and The Lips\, Anaut\, Martha Reeves and The Vandellas\, SwampDog… \nA unique staging with a singing drummer; a sort of bastardized mutation halfway between Boham and Plant\, along with the missing link between Stevie Wonder’s crushing groove with synthesized moog bass and Hendrix’s punchy whammy guitars. \n– – – – – – – – – – \n \nEmerging from the shelter of the cold and rainy Ria de Vigo\, in Galicia\, The Soul Jacket have been defined as the best southern rock band in Spain.

SUMMARY:DeWolff
DESCRIPTION:When Roger Glover heard Dewolff playing\, he thought he was hearing his own band Deep Purple’s Mark II unloading on stage. A similar thing happened to Seasick Steve\, who claimed to have woken up backstage at a festival hearing them play\, thinking he had traveled back in time and was hearing the Allman Brothers play in 1972. \nBut what they both really heard was Dewolff\, a young\, electrified Dutch trio led by a powerful Hammond organ. Keyboardist Robin Piso and the brothers Luka (drums and backing vocals) and Pablo (vocals and guitar) Van de Poel are energetic and virtuoso musicians with a free and unrestrained spirit. A group of teenagers who formed a band in the south of Holland\, and who hardly passed their twenties\, have already made history in Dutch rock and opened a path all over Europe with their mix of blues rock with touches of soul and psychedelia\, having released 8 studio albums\, 2 EP’s\, three live albums (one of them accompanied by the amazing Metropolo Orkest)\, which have earned them an Edison Award (Dutch version of The Mercury Music Prize)\, a Dutch Grammy and a Buma Award. As well as having played live with artists such as The Black Keys\, Blues Pills\, Wolfmother and Deep Purple themselves. And you only need to watch two minutes of a Dewolff concert to understand that the music of the golden age of rock still takes place in the 21st century.
