New Yorker Catherine Russell is one of the most prominent singers on the current blues-jazz scene. With strong musical roots, Catherine Russell is the daughter of Luis Russell, music director of Louis Armstrong and has been nominated for the GRAMMY® on several occasions.
After the first few years of his career in which he collaborated with artists Steely Dan, Cyndi Lauper, Paul Simon, Jackson Browne, Wynton Marsalis and especially with David Bowie where he worked as a guitarist, keyboardist, percussionist and vocalist, he decided to se in his solo career, recording since then 7 albums where he combines his own songs with classics of the American songwriter and Rhythm&Blues, from Nat King Cole to Louis Jordan.
