Howlin’Dogs

Saturday 10 de February de 2024 | 20.30h

Ateneu 24 de Juny

The Howlin’Dogs project revolves around the Work Songs or work songs of the African-American community. Following the tracks of musicologists Alan and John Lomax, they enter the prison labor camps of the southern United States, where the working conditions are similar to those suffered by the community in times of slavery. Howlin’Dogs gives a new musical vision to texts that have not lost their validity today, both because of the timelessness of some themes and because today we can still find very similar situations of labor abuse and poverty.
Howlin’Dogs has recorded two albums and an EP, for which they have received very good reviews from the specialized press and have been placed on the annual lists of best albums in media such as Mondosonoro or Rockdeluxe.
