Tina Turner has become an icon of women’s liberation through her extraordinary musical career and her personal story of overcoming. Her life and work have been inspirational for many women, especially those who have experienced domestic violence and fought for their independence.
The Black Music Big Band wants to pay its particular tribute to Tina Turner by bringing the songs from her repertoire to the big band format. A musical journey from the beginning of the 60s where soul will be the protagonist until the 90s where rock and pop will have more presence. Great hits as well as lesser-known tracks from Tina Turner’s discography in a show that will be pure energy.
